The Joy Factor
It’s been so beautiful feeling people’s joy and enthusiasm and the energy that comes from that. I am referring to the collective shift that is being experienced in factions of our political spheres. There has also been a sweet correlation internationally as we enjoy and celebrate the Olympics.
I’ve always been interested in the movement of consciousness in its dance through manifestation, and therefore fascinated watching what’s been happening lately. I’ve been looking through my long lived experience of bliss as a ground inherency of being beyond a mere transitory state. Here are some insights:
There’s a softening of the being with joy. This is because joy and its lightness of being is our true nature; innate to who we are. The heart opens. There is greater breath, presence and connection.
Joy fuels play, and play fuels creativity. When there is joy in action, the creative will moves organically and effortlessly.
Movement and good work in the world, aligned with heart and soul and fueled by relational connection and joy happen without the same kind of effort that our determination pushes through in their absence. It is the kind of movement that feels right. It is the kind of movement that can feel like it’s in the flow. It is the kind of movement that comes from and births a sense of promise; promise that lends itself to dreams and a sense of tomorrow; a sense of hope. Hope freed from fear and negativity can breathe vision. This sense is happening collectively. Its momentum is galvanizing, synergistic, generative.
This was unexpected - a Grace - seeded from the unknown - and not in line with the common narratives or on the trajectories where our logic saw ourselves going.
This can be a good kind of collective shaking up of expectations and conditioning. We never saw this coming.
There is delight in the midst of this; in the midst of the unexpected - a kind of delight in being; a delight in the miracle of surprise; perhaps a delight in the miracle that there’s something powerful and beneficent beyond our siloed efforts and selves.
There is something powerful when what we collectively hold from our souls’ longings and deepest prayers, is met and carried by evolutionary winds moving towards realization. There is something powerful beyond what can be seen.
We are glimpsing the divine creative intelligence at play. It is awesome. If for only this moment, it is relaxing the impossible burden and effort we held on our individual shoulders , and at the same time it is inspiring and empowering as we come together in shared heart, humanity and responsibility.
When joy is singing it is relaxing the grip of concern and heaviness which can prevent something new from coming in. The factor of joy and our sharing the dance of what it inspires with our community can be a key, and potentially an energetic anecdote to our inspired action in relationship with our “wicked problems”. In cultures where we must hunker down and stress over solutions, letting joy dance and sing us is counter-intuitive.
This intensity of relief and buoyant jubilance that many of us are feeling may not stay forward in our awareness beyond this moment. We may get distracted with cultural pulls, fears and conditioned mindsets. But if we can stay attuned to our hearts, to our joy, to our soulful Integrity, and stay open to the unexpected and that which may be beyond ourselves and our effort, this joy will never be farther from us than our own breath.
This joy is a taste of the Ananda, the deep bliss which is one with being and consciousness. It is the deepest truth of our essential being.
May we continue to come out and playfully feel our joy and soulful integrity and let the divine creative intelligence wrap itself around and through our compassionate, loving hearts, inspire our open, quiet minds, and energize our wills in our shared dance in service to the greatest good for all.
